God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible."
An adult is made up of around 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (7 Octillion) Atoms. The number of stars in the observable universe is estimated at 100 billion stars per galaxy gives an approximate total of 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars (Which is 10 sextillion). As you can see there are more atoms in your body than there are stars in the observable universe. Man and the universe are made of these heavenly bodies or elements which all have a function and are unseen by the necked eye.
Just because we can’t see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. When we look through a microscope, we see a world that’s not seen with the necked eye. When the wind blows on our bodies, we can't see the wind but we know it's there. When we practice our faith, our five senses can't smell it, taste it, see it, touch it or hear it, but the spirit of faith is there, which is an unseen entity. Those are just a few examples of our unseen surroundings that we are apart of. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1 KJV.
This is not a lesson in quantum physics, chemistry or science, I'm not a scientist. However, I am trying to evoke discussion and give insight about the teachings of Jesus. As Christians we need to understand there is nothing wrong with understanding our unseen environment, it is the breath of life and we are apart of it, "By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of His mouth" Psalms 33:6. When we understand our surroundings, we gain greater insight of Gods creation and His Word. Science is doing nothing more than confirming scripture, regardless of their intention. The point we are missing is God created all of this, so, the only thing that will be discovered is that God's word is true, so why treat science as taboo. For an illustration go here.
"Science is incomplete without God's Word"
Take sound for instance; here is a quick definition of sound: Sound is created by the transmission of sound waves, when the particles hit into each other (a vibration) it makes a sound and you hear it when it reaches your ear drums. We don't see the particles hit together but, we hear the results. Therefore, when we speak, things happen in the unseen that effects change in the seen.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light" Genesis 1:1-3. God spoke (sound) to the unseen and by faith the unseen carried out the directive that created the light in the seen.
In Proverbs 18:21 KJV, it states; "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Why was this warning given? Because the tongue has power to effect change in the unseen. God spoke life, and everything He spoke was good just as we should be doing. God gave of Himself for us, which is every good substance of His being.
How then can we only think of God's creation, as being just about us, isn't that being selfish? "By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were divided" Proverbs 3:19-20. Therefore, knowing how the unseen workings of my tongue can bring death to my, business, family and personal goals is important to me. God said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me" Matthew 11:29, well, God is all creation. That's what Jesus taught, we are not the only entity that was created for our existence, but, we are all subject to His creation.
